Links

If you want to know more about Ipswich Town FC and its supporters you may find some of the following links useful.  They are listed in no logical or helpful order – other than the first two that I find the most useful.  Any comments are the authors (David Bull) and should not be attributed to anyone but him.

The Pride of Anglia – The ITFC Information Resource

www.prideofanglia.com

This is the definitive site for any information you want on Ipswich Town FC, its history, games played and players.  It is crammed full of information; every time you look into it you will find something new or different.

i1

TWTD (Those Where the Days) – The Independent Ipswich Town website

www.twtd.co.uk

Part of the rivals network, TWTD is the most popular message board and chat room site for ITFC supporters.  It provides an ahead of the game news service, runs a Prediction League and publishers the independent fanzine.

i2

Ipswich Town Official Website

www.itfc.co.uk

Needs little introduction as the source for current official news, tickets, shopping etc.  It is necessary and sometimes useful, if you can work through it, but is one of the all-pervading premiumtv’s websites.

i3

Ipswich Town Official Supporters Club

www.itfcsupporters.co.uk

This is the umbrella organisation to which the local town, regional and international Supporters Clubs are affiliated.  Links to all those ITFC Supporters Clubs can be accessed through here as well as information on current interactions between the Supporters Club and Ipswich Town FC.

i4

North American Supporters Club

www.itfcnasc.com

And just to prove it, here is a link to the States.

i5

Ipswich Town Independent Supporters Trust

www.ipswichtownfirst.co.uk

The Trust was set up to provide a central point from which fans can express their views to the Club and it’s Directors.  It holds a number of shares in the Club and campaigns for a seat on the board.  Lacks the support of some fans that can’t see the point of it and prefer the direct verbal route of complaint.  But it is a way to try and participate in the running of the Club.  We will see if it can sustain itself over the fullness of time.

Tractor-Boys.com

www.tractor-boys.com

Well there you go!  Didn’t even know this existed until I started looking through other links.  Seems to be ‘approved’ and well frequented but not being someone who is much in to chat sites I couldn’t tell you if it is any good or not.  (I see that there is a supporter that is based in Leeds – I’ll have to tap him up to join the Northerner’s).

i7

Football Latest.co.uk

www.ipswichtown.footballlatest.co.uk

A link that picks up and lists current news articles that relate to Ipswich.  In turn this provides the links to news providers sites.

i8

News Now.co.uk

www.newsnow.co.uk/newsfeed/?name=Ipswich+Town

And the same again from an alternative provider.  This, TWTD and Football Latest can be set so that the news is feed to your computer.

i9

Football Ground Guide

www.footballgroundguide.co.uk

If you don’t know where your going (or even if you think you do) it’s always worth checking this site out for directions to the ground.  Also covers pubs (but check out our meeting point first), eating-houses and parking.
